Mabenna is a Mozambican brand founded in 2017, named after the affectionate nickname designer Benoca Malinga received from her maternal grandmother. Deeply rooted in African culture, the brand was created with the purpose of celebrating authenticity, identity, and the beauty of our continent through design, art, and personal expression.
Inspired by the famous quote from French writer Victor Hugo — “Everything that is beautiful reveals the true” — Mabenna embraces truth as the core of its creative vision. Each piece is thoughtfully crafted to reflect strength, elegance, and a unique story, embodying the essence of the one who wears it.

In 2023, Mabenna had the honor of participating in the renowned South Africa Fashion Week (SAFW), being selected as one of only three Mozambican brands to
showcase at the event—an achievement that reflects both the quality of its creations and the growing prominence of the brand in the fashion industry.

In 2023, Mabenna continued to expand its international presence by participating in the prestigious Concorso Nazionale CNA Federmoda RMI 2023 held in Rome, Italy.
